Statement by Political Prisoner, David Gilbert

For white people, racism has meant a range of material benefits . . . at the price of our very souls and, for most of us, at the cost of cementing the heartless rule of capital over us. As we build for the September 13th March on the United Nations, it is especially important for us to keep in mind that it was New Afrikans' unpaid/underpaid labor and genius that built America.

Also, their liberation struggle awakened a sense of hope and humanity in all who are oppressed. Also, adequate resources for the self-development of the New Afrikan nation would result in tremendous benefits--in science, in culture, in society--for all humankind.
